Kingsbeck Jerseys
An award-winning herd established on the estate in 2016. Kingsbeck Jerseys have recently been awarded the Lilyhill Cup. The Herd also qualified for entry into the RABDF Gold Cup Competition in the same year.
In order to qualify for this the 185 cow milking herd recorded the highest levels of combined fat and protein produced by a Jersey herd in the UK, at an average of 816kg Milk Solids per cow, during the 2020 calendar year.
The Land
Adopting a more holistic approach to agriculture, we regularly tests the soil across the Estate in order to determine the nutrient and pH levels. Gathering and using this information means we can create long term plans in order to better the quality of the land, for this and future generations.
